Celebrating Mother's Day :: HARAM ke ??

Recently, most of us celebrate Mother's Day.. It just a way of expressing an appreciation to our mother - a best women in our life since our first day in their tummy.

In accordance of Mother's Day, my husband wish me that beautiful words "Happy Mothers Day", and he want to make a mothers day celebration for me - just a small celebration - just went for makan-makan...

But, i refuse it.. I said to him, it against Islam rules of celebrating Mothers Day because i remembered Ustaz Azhar Idrus bagi ceramah pasal Mothers Day ni. And it is HARAM.. So, i told my husband, its HARAM.. but its ok if we just going out for makan-makan only - chill la... and for me everyday we must appreciate our mother or mother's to our children, not just during Mothers Day only..

Korang boleh tengok video ni..

Since our day 1 in our marriage life, my husband and i always debate-ing between each other. Bukan gaduh ok, jangan salah faham pulak (Kitaorang tak pernah gaduh ok sejak berkahwin). Its just a discussion untuk percambahan buah fikiran (ceewaaah! ayat tak boleh blah!), so both of us will come out with facts, logik akal tak diambil kira ...Semuanya mesti berdasarkan fakta samaada teori, hadith, ayat alquran, pandangan ulamak atau sunnah Rasulullah saw. And the outcome from these discussions, both of us will get a new knowledge on that particular issue/topic... Ala-ala macam usrah la..

My argumentation in celebrating Mothers Day is just based on Ustaz Azhar Idrus's opinion only. No more facts after that. So, my husband pun korek-korek la internet, nak tahu apa pandangan ulamak lain tentang Mothers Day ni - sebenarnya boleh atau tak sambut - haram atau tak?

So, ini jawapan die.....................

So, korang boleh lah tengok link ni apa kata Dr MAZA dan Mufti Kelantan.. ANd korang jugak boleh search fatwa-fatwa lain berkaitan celebration Mothers day ni..

Pandangan dari Ulamak Yusuf al-Qadrawi pulak :

“Hari ibu ini timbul kerana pihak orentalis/doktrin barat memikirkan bahawa inilah cara yang terbaik untuk mereka menarik minat anak-anak remaja barat agar menghormati orang tua mereka. Umumnya kita tahu bahawa masyarakat barat amat tipis dengan adab tatasusila, jadi dengan mengadakan/mengkhususkan hari-hari tertentu sekaligus dapat memupuk remaja mereka agar menyayangi dan menghormati orang tua mereka.”

In conclusion, sebenarnya boleh sambut Mothers Day tu dan hukumnya HARUS selagi kita tidak mengikut iktikad atau akifah Kristian atau orang-orang Yahudi atau orang-orang kafir yang lain.

Itu je lah aku share, sekian.. dan terima kasih kerna sudi membaca..

Last but not least - Happy Mothers Day to my readers.. hehehe

  6. As long as niat dan tindakan kita tak bercanggah dengan lunas Islam, ok kan,..masa nilah nak treat ibu, buat ibu rasa istimewa. Kalau hari2 biasa, mungkin sibuk kerja, sibuk study, sibuk dengan family.
